About me
I'm Tony North, a photographer based in Manchester, England. My main passion is macro (mainly insects, flowers and fungi), although I also love urban, landscape and astrophotography.
I have always loved nature, but there's something about spending a few hours in a wildflower meadow capturing images of butterflies and dragonflies that really excites me.
I also enjoy competing, whether in BPE Salons (I am currently ABPE) or in major competitions such as the International Garden Photographer of the Year, which I won outright in 2023. View my awards here.
Talks, Workshops and Tuition
also have a 15-part online macro course running in the spring and summer of 2027, and I'm available to give macro tuition on request, either via Zoom or at my home in Manchester.
In addition I am available to give online talks on my insect photography, as well as on landscapes, flowers, fungi, abstracts.
I hope you enjoy perusing my images. Read more about me and my background here.
